Are you over 18 and have multiple sclerosis (MS)?

You are invited to participate in a research study looking at the communication experiences of persons living with MS. We are looking for both people with MS who do and who do not experience communication problems in their daily life. In this study, you will complete an anonymous online questionnaire with questions about your communication, memory and thinking, and quality of life. The questionnaire will take approximately 30 to 45 minutes to complete. Upon opening the online questionnaire in the provided link, you will be asked to read the Participation Information Statement. Please find attached a flyer for more detailed information.

The questionnaire can be found on: redcap.sydney.edu.au/surveys/?s=PCR8ND4T9D

To thank you for your participation, you have the opportunity to win 1 of 4 $25 gift vouchers. Your participation will help us raise awareness and improve our knowledge of communication problems in MS. This will help us design more specific and effective treatments to help persons with MS maintain participation in the community and workforce.

Kind regards,

Thank you Sue Lee for this

HEAT AND MS IMPORTANT

Good news is that it is not a relapse - when you cool down you will recover.

Hot water bottles in the freezer cool beds down

Cool scarves (ebay) or a damp teatowel around your neck will cool you down quickly (and who cares what they look like)

Rehydration salts - I would seriously recommend that you take a dioralite every night during this heat because most of you are not drinking enough (we all know why) and you know who you are !!!

Ben Miles, the acclaimed actor, talks about the Feldenkrais Method. Feldenkrais is a method of motor-sensory learning which helps people perform better. Ben talks here about how the gentle, hands-on work, helps him to be more aware of his body in movement; this, in turn, helps him to make smarter decisions as to how to use his body as an actor. /// Video by www.asenseofmovement.com
